Cristiano Ronaldo goes in search of his 200th career goal tomorrow night against the former Manchester United team-mate whom he has never scored against as his Real Madrid clash with Barcelona.
He drew a blank in the Champions League final in 2009, failed to score in both Classicos last season and has also failed to score in two Portugal-Spain games, although the last one suggested the tide may be turning. That was Ronaldo's first victory over Pique as Portugal romped to a 4-0 win and he did have the ball in the net only for it to be ruled out as Nani, already over the goal line, headed in his lob from an offside position.
Fabregas said: 'It must help Gerard that they played together at Old Trafford. But he will know that, if you lose your concentration, then Ronaldo kills you.'
Ronaldo added: 'I'm not obsessed with scoring against Barca. I don't feel that I am under more pressure.'
Just 24 hours later, Real Madrid will find out if Jose Mourinho's ploy to wipe out Sergio Ramos' and Xabi Alonso's bans for the knockout phase of the Champions League will receive further punishment.
